Randy Bauslaugh is a leading Canadian lawyer in pensions, benefits, and pension fund governance. He is respsected nationally and internationally for his practical judgment and strategic clarity that comes from more than 4 decades of experience advising employers, boards, administrators, and public and private institutions.
He has served as legal counsel on some of the country’s most complex pension and benefits matters, including surplus issues, plan design, governance structures, regulatory compliance, fiduciary duties, pension fund investment relating to ESG and climate change factor integration, as well as dispute resolution. Randy is also a trusted advisor to boards and senior leadership teams navigating organizational change, risk management, and long‑term workforce planning.
As President & Chair of the Canadian National Exhibition Association, he oversaw a significant leadership transition in 2024–25 that positioned the organization to pursue its new strategic direction to strengthen the CNEA’s role in Toronto’s civic life, to revitalize the site year‑round, and to give renewed meaning to the words Canadian and National in its name. This work reflects his long‑standing commitment to city‑building, community‑building, and contributing to institutions that shape Canada’s cultural and civic landscape.
